my photography
award-winning documentary wedding photography
My love for documentary wedding photography grew out of my passion for street photography and photojournalism. I spent many hours people watching, reading rooms, waiting for a real moment to develop, and learning how to capture it beautifully.
Street photography teaches you to slow down and really see what's evolving around you, to anticipate a moment before it arrives and stay quiet enough that people forget you're there. Photojournalism adds the vision to pull those moments together into an unscripted narrative, one that is honest and true to how things actually happened. I bring this experience to every wedding, knowing that each day is full of unique stories unfolding in real time.
The pictures couples come back to years later are never the posed ones; they're the ones that can’t be staged or repeated. The glance as you walk down the aisle, the spontaneous hug, the eruption of laughter, the moments you didn't even know were happening. The best wedding photos don’t just show how the day looked, they remind you of how it felt.
My job is to move through your day, giving everyone space to be themselves and staying close to these moments without ever getting in the way of them.
This is your story!
“We couldn’t have wished for a better wedding photographer! Alex’s photos are the perfect memory of our day, capturing all the special moments, including intimate shots of family members laughing, crying, singing that we will treasure forever. He was very relaxed to have around and completely non intrusive. Couldn’t recommend highly enough - thank you so much, Alex!”
