St Nicholas Church Wedding

St Nicholas Church Wedding Photography - Sam & Charlotte

Situated in the heart of Buckinghamshire in the quaint village of Taplow sits St Nicolas Church. An impressive Victorian mock medieval church with over 1,400 years of history telling the tales of medieval baptisms and buried Saxon treasures. With beautiful stained glass windows, an abundance of natural light, and captivating architecture, this is an incredible place for a wedding ceremony.

I first met Charlotte and her family several years ago when I photographed her sister’s wedding in Oxford back in 2018 and then her sister’s brother-in-law’s wedding in Leamington Spa back in 2019. It was amazing to see everyone again when I arrived at the bridal prep and I was greeted like a long-lost family member. Charlotte looked incredible and after a lot of laughter and jokes with her family, it was time to head to the church.

The church provided the perfect backdrop for the wedding ceremony and both Sam & Charlotte looked amazing. It was a wonderful ceremony with lots of heartfelt moments between the couple(and the odd tears) with some wonderful readings from friends and family. After the ceremony, everybody lined up outside the gates to the church to shower the happy with confetti before they left in the wedding car.

The reception was held at Stirrups Hotel, a family-run hotel set within 10 acres of Berkshire’s finest countryside and a stone’s throw from Windsor and Ascot. The guests were greeted with a selection of chilled drinks and after a few hours of mingling, laughter, and lawn games everyone settled down for the meal and speeches. The speeches imparticular were a highlight for everyone as not only were they all incredibly heartfelt and funny, but Sam & Chralotte took this opportunity to reveal they were having a baby girl.

After the reception all that was left was for Charlotte’s Dad’s big band to lead the party celebrations and provide fantastic music for the evening’s dancing.

Below you will find some of my favourite images from the wedding.
