ABOUT ME

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
I’m Alex and I’m multi award winning photographer, husband to an amazing wife and father to a beautiful daughter. Currently based in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, I photograph weddings all over the UK and anywhere in the world I am asked to.
I first took up photography as a creative outlet and it quickly became apparent I had a genuine interest in photographic story telling; through which my love of street and documentary photography was born.
Years later I feel incredibly fortunate that I get to take photographs full time for a living and I absolutely love shooting documentary wedding & family photography. This isn’t a job to me, it’s a passion!
And when I’m not working or spending time with the family I like nothing more to go out and shoot street photography for my own enjoyment

“There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer.”

When it comes to equipment I am a huge fan of the Sony Alpha system and have been shooting solely with their cameras and lenses for the last couple of years now. The Sony Alpha cameras are fantastic and their size and performance suit my style of wedding photography perfectly.
I am also honoured to have been given the opportunity to work with Sony UK as one of their Alpha Creators. This includes delivering talks and presentations for Sony at photographic events and conventions all over the UK about my approach to documentary wedding photography using the Alpha system.
As well as giving talks for Sony UK I have also spoken several times at the annual The Photography Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

A recent talk for Sony UK about my documentary wedding photography at Chorley Photographic Society.

Speaking on the Social Stage at The Photography Show 2019

Photography has given me some amazing experiences over the last few years, through which I have met many incredible people and worked with some fantastic brands.
A personal career highlight for me was being given the opportunity to travel to Ethiopia with my very good friend and photographer Tommy Reynolds to photograph the tribes of the Omo Valley.
